jQuery Slider Demo: Rounded

Please select a setting example:

Note: Rounded corners will not work with Internet Explorer. They will only appear in standards-compliant browsers like Chrome, Safari, and Firefox (We are working on a JavaScript hack to make rounded corners possible in IE, however all attempts so far have been either slow or causes animation conflicts). If you wish to have rounded corners on all browsers, it is recommended you do so with a transparent overlay image (png or gif), please see the Overlay Example.

With the back-end params, you have total control of which corners will be rounded. You have the choice of only rounding 1 corner, 2 corners, 3 corners, or all of them.

Slider Right to Left Preset, Rounded Corners:

  • Tire tracks in a field

  • White fence illustration

  • 4th of July festival in Houston Texas

A Standards note from the development team:

While we will continue to work on a hack to force rounded corners in Internet Explorer, we will not release any solution that noticibly slows down load time of the extension. We have successfully implemented rounded corners with a custom JavaScript for this extension, however it slows load time down considerably, therefore we will not release it.

While we understand that well over 90% of Internet users do so with Internet Explorer, we have made the decision that if Microsoft doesn't want its customers to see the "Full Internet", we won't kill ourselves writing hacks to allow it. It is a shame that the leading Internet Browser chooses to lag behind its' competition in terms of standards compliance. Unfortunately we don't have the resources nor man power to quickly develop alternate solutions, JavaScripts and hacks to accommodate Internet Explorer quirks, inadequacies, and performance issues. Keep in mind, all of our extensions will work with Internet Explorer minus some of the advanced Web features we include.

This extension, as with all of our extensions is fully tested stable with Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Google Chrome, and Microsoft's Internet Explorer. We take the time to build our extensions to the latest HTML 5 and CSS 3 standards. This provides added flair and features to users of standards-compliant browsers like Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. When these HTML 5/CSS 3 features do not show up in Internet Explorer, it isn't a bug. It is a direct result of Microsoft not complying with the latest Web standards. Any effects which do not appear for Internet Explorer will not break our extension, the end-user will not know that anything is missing.

Thank you for taking the time to understand the limitations of Internet Explorer.
